The applications process for the Doctorate in Social Complexity Sciences (DCCS) has started since January 29. This program depends on The Center for Research in Social Complexity (CICS), is led by the Faculty of Government of the Universidad del Desarrollo, and with the participation of the Faculties of Engineering, Medicine and Architecture.
This PhD is a full-time program and it extends for 8 semesters. It is an interdisciplinary program with a high degree of innovation and a strong background in quantitative methods, aimed at investigating complex problems of contemporary social reality.
Aside from courses, the DCCS provides for the inclusion of students in the research of the CICS and its network of collaboration, since the beginning of the program. The purpose of the early incorporation, is on the one hand familiar with the methods and forms of collaborative work that characterize our group, and also develop teams with centers of national and international research, which belong to our network.
It is aimed for any applicant have completed an Undergraduate degree in a field related to Social Sciences, Natural or Exact Sciences, as a minimum requirement for admission, and advanced quantitative skills and an interest in one or more research lines associated with CICS.
