CICS researcher Pablo Billeke recently publish a note in the Spanish scientific diffusion magazine “Ciencia Cognitiva” on social neurosciences, in regard to the brain’s bases involved in social negotiations.
The article summarize current investigations developed at CICS that are part of the research topic “Neuroscience and genetics of social behavior”. Sub-topics researched focus on the differences of complex social behavior, such as cooperation and negotiation, between healthy people and people diagnosed with mental illnesses. The objective in these studies is to identify brain activity patterns through the use of electroencephalography, nuclear magnetic resonance and transcranial magnetic estimation tests.
