Descripci\u00f3n del Proyecto:<\/strong>
\nLos seres humanos muestran rasgos f\u00edsicos y psicol\u00f3gicos que son caracter\u00edsticos de primates mon\u00f3gamos, polig\u00ednicos y poligin\u00e1ndricos. A su vez, los humanos presentan una amplia variabilidad inter e intrasexual en las actitudes y comportamientos sociosexuales que van desde la b\u00fasqueda de relaciones comprometidas y a largo plazo a la disposici\u00f3n al sexo casual y sin compromiso. Esta mezcla de caracter\u00edsticas indicar\u00eda que durante la historia evolutiva se han seleccionado una serie de rasgos que permitir\u00edan la expresi\u00f3n de m\u00faltiples estrategias reproductivas. A este respecto, la hip\u00f3tesis del pluralismo estrat\u00e9gico propone que las estrategias reproductivas en humanos (tanto en hombres como en mujeres) se encuentran facultativamente calibradas hacia el corto o el largo plazo en funci\u00f3n de la expresi\u00f3n de ciertos rasgos fenot\u00edpicos y del ambiente f\u00edsico y social que estar\u00edan asociados con la relaci\u00f3n costes-beneficios de expresar una cierta t\u00e1ctica reproductiva u otra (o una combinaci\u00f3n de ambas). Este ajuste facultativo de las t\u00e1cticas reproductivas representar\u00eda una soluci\u00f3n adaptativa al compromiso (trade-off) fundamental entre la inversi\u00f3n en apareamientos (t\u00e1ctica reproductiva a corto plazo) e inversi\u00f3n en cuidado parental (t\u00e1ctica reproductiva a largo plazo). Este compromiso es especialmente relevante en hombres y la testosterona, tanto los niveles circulantes como los niveles durante ciertas etapas claves en el desarrollo, se piensa que juega un papel clave en la calibraci\u00f3n de las t\u00e1cticas reproductivas en hombres. A su vez, la testosterona puede afectar a las t\u00e1cticas reproductivas de manera indirecta a trav\u00e9s de la obtenci\u00f3n y mantenimiento de un mejor estatus social, tanto por dominancia como por prestigio. El principal objetivo de este estudio es investigar el rol de los niveles de testosterona activacional (circulante) y organizacional (durante el desarrollo) en las t\u00e1cticas reproductivas en hombres y c\u00f3mo este efecto est\u00e1 parcialmente mediado por el estatus social adquirido tanto mediante la agresi\u00f3n (dominancia) como con la cooperaci\u00f3n (prestigio) en una muestra de hombres j\u00f3venes. Para este prop\u00f3sito hemos aplicado un dise\u00f1o experimental de medidas repetidas y doble ciego en el que los sujetos pasaban por una situaci\u00f3n control, donde se les administraba un gel placebo y una situaci\u00f3n experimental en la que se les administraba un gel de testosterona. Esto nos permitir\u00e1 investigar la relaci\u00f3n causal entre la testosterona y las t\u00e1cticas reproductivas, por un lado, y con los comportamientos de ganancia de estatus, por el otro. A su vez, empleamos juegos econ\u00f3micos y un paradigma experimental para medir los comportamientos vinculados a la b\u00fasqueda de estatus tanto por dominancia como por prestigio. Por \u00faltimo, manipulamos la composici\u00f3n sexual de los grupos, introduciendo un confederado mujer en la primera fase del estudio y un confederado hombre en la segunda, para investigar el efecto de contexto en el despliegue de los comportamientos de ganancia de estatus y de las t\u00e1cticas reproductivas. Mediante este proyecto que integra por primera vez el estudio del efecto de la testosterona sobre los comportamientos de agresi\u00f3n, cooperaci\u00f3n y actitudes y comportamientos sociosexuales, esperamos contribuir a ampliar y profundizar en el entendimiento de los rasgos y contextos que afectan y que explican la variabilidad en las t\u00e1cticas reproductivas en hombres.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
