Nature human behaviour, 5(1), 159-169.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Resumen<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>En los \u00faltimos 10 a\u00f1os, el modelo de valencia-dominancia de Oosterhof y Todorov ha surgido como la explicaci\u00f3n m\u00e1s destacada de c\u00f3mo las personas eval\u00faan las caras en las dimensiones sociales. En este modelo, dos dimensiones (valencia y dominancia) sustentan los juicios sociales de las caras. Dado que este modelo se ha desarrollado y probado principalmente en regiones occidentales, no est\u00e1 claro si estos resultados se aplican a otras regiones. Para ello, hemos reproducido la metodolog\u00eda de Oosterhof y Todorov en 11 regiones del mundo, 41 pa\u00edses y 11.570 participantes. Cuando utilizamos la estrategia de an\u00e1lisis original de Oosterhof y Todorov, el modelo de valencia-dominancia se generaliz\u00f3 en todas las regiones. Cuando utilizamos una metodolog\u00eda alternativa para tener en cuenta las dimensiones correlacionadas, observamos una generalizaci\u00f3n mucho menor.
