Su prop\u00f3sito:\u00a0asistir al <a href=\"https:\/\/lncd.pitt.edu\/wp\/\">Laboratorio de Desarrollo Neurocognitivo<\/a> cuya directora es la Dra. <a href=\"http:\/\/psychology.pitt.edu\/people\/beatriz-luna-phd\">Beatriz Luna<\/a> quien, adem\u00e1s, es su co-tutora de tesis.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Durante su estad\u00eda, la doctorando present\u00f3 su trabajo de tesis <em>Risky Decision Making in adolescents and its relationship to alcohol consumption<\/em>\u201d, y recibi\u00f3 valiosa retroalimentaci\u00f3n de los investigadores del Laboratorio. Del mismo modo, pudo conocer las instalaciones y nutrirse de la investigaci\u00f3n que all\u00ed\u00a0realizan.<a href=\"https:\/\/gobierno.udd.cl\/doctorate\/files\/2019\/09\/flux13.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-2688\" src=\"https:\/\/gobierno.udd.cl\/doctorate\/files\/2019\/09\/flux13.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"250\" height=\"333\" srcset=\"https:\/\/gobierno.udd.cl\/doctorate\/files\/2019\/09\/flux13.jpg 960w, https:\/\/gobierno.udd.cl\/doctorate\/files\/2019\/09\/flux13-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/gobierno.udd.cl\/doctorate\/files\/2019\/09\/flux13-768x1024.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 250px) 100vw, 250px\" \/><\/a>M\u00e1s tarde, Mar\u00eda Paz parti\u00f3 rumbo a Nueva York, para participar del <em><a href=\"https:\/\/fluxsociety.org\/2019-new-york\/\">Flux Congress<\/a><\/em> del 30 de agosto hasta el 1 de septiembre, congreso organizado por la <em>Flux Society<\/em> para avanzar en la comprensi\u00f3n del desarrollo del cerebro humano; intercambiar informaci\u00f3n y educar a la pr\u00f3xima generaci\u00f3n de investigadores de neurociencia cognitiva; compartir hallazgos de investigaci\u00f3n cient\u00edfica que est\u00e1n disponibles sobre el desarrollo del cerebro; entre otros objetivos. En la ocasi\u00f3n, la estudiante del DCCS present\u00f3 su p\u00f3ster <em>Reward magnitude increases learning rate and the activity in value-related brain areas in adolescents<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Este \u00faltimo trabajo investigativo, trata acerca de la toma de decisiones arriesgadas durante la adolescencia, y c\u00f3mo estas decisiones se asocian a una mayor sensibilidad a los incentivos y un control cognitivo relativamente d\u00e9bil. Tras el planteamiento de una hip\u00f3tesis relacionada a la magnitud de la recompensa, los cambios en la tasa de aprendizaje y\/o un sesgo (positivo o negativo) en la estimaci\u00f3n del valor, se evaluaron las \u00e1reas cerebrales asociadas a la toma de decisiones arriesgadas en adolescentes sanos mientras realizan una tarea determinada.<\/p>\n<div id=\"gallery-1\" class=\"carousel slide
