{"id":1872,"date":"2018-09-04T15:31:38","date_gmt":"2018-09-04T15:31:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/dccs.udd.cl\/?p=1872"},"modified":"2018-09-04T15:31:38","modified_gmt":"2018-09-04T15:31:38","slug":"a-succesful-first-day-of-the-ishe-2018-in-santiago","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/gobierno.udd.cl\/doctorate\/2018\/09\/04\/a-succesful-first-day-of-the-ishe-2018-in-santiago\/","title":{"rendered":"A Succesful First Day of the ISHE 2018 in Santiago"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The first day of the 24th World Congress of the<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">International Society for Human Ethology (ISHE)<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">2018, held at the Plaza San Francisco Hotel in Santiago de Chile, began with a large influx of visitors.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The opening ceremony was attended by the Director of the CICS, Carlos Rodr\u00edguez-Sickert, the researchers and DCCS professors, Tamas David-Barrett and Ana Mar\u00eda Fern\u00e1ndez, as well as numerous academics and audience coming from various countries. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">After the ceremony, Sabine Tebbich launched her oral presentation &#8220;Behavioral innovations in animals and humans&#8221;. The researcher from the University of Vienna, presented a theoretical framework that describes the interactions between underlying mechanisms, fitness benefits, and evolutionary significance of innovations and illustrate it with animal and human examples. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Tebbich said that \u201cthese examples of animal innovation suggest, to some extent, that animals are akin to us in their ability to find novel solutions to problems\u201d.
