Scientific reports, 10(1), 1-12.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Resumen<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>La Hip\u00f3tesis del Guerrero Masculino (MWH) establece que la psicolog\u00eda de los hombres ha sido moldeada por la competencia intergrupal para adquirir y proteger los recursos reproductivos. En este contexto, las presiones selectivas espec\u00edficas del sexo habr\u00edan favorecido la cooperaci\u00f3n con los miembros del propio grupo en combinaci\u00f3n con la hostilidad hacia los extra\u00f1os. Investigamos el papel de la testosterona en el desarrollo, medido indirectamente a trav\u00e9s de marcadores est\u00e1ticos de testosterona prenatal (proporci\u00f3n de d\u00edgitos 2D:4D) y de testosterona puberal (musculatura corporal y masculinidad facial), tanto en la cooperaci\u00f3n como en el comportamiento agresivo en el contexto del conflicto intergrupal entre hombres. Apoyando la HM, nuestros resultados muestran que el escenario de conflicto intergrupal promueve la cooperaci\u00f3n entre los miembros del grupo y la agresi\u00f3n hacia los miembros del grupo externo. En cuanto a los fundamentos hormonales de este fen\u00f3meno, encontramos que la musculatura corporal se asocia positivamente con la agresi\u00f3n y la cooperaci\u00f3n, pero s\u00f3lo para la cooperaci\u00f3n cuando se tiene en cuenta el contexto (competencia intergrupal).
