JoVE (Journal of Visualized Experiments), (160), e59441.<\/p>\n<p><strong>RESUMEN<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Hace m\u00e1s de una d\u00e9cada que se aplic\u00f3 con \u00e9xito el primer enfoque de neurofeedback basado en la resonancia magn\u00e9tica funcional (fMRI). Desde entonces, varios estudios han demostrado que los participantes pueden aprender a controlar voluntariamente una regi\u00f3n cerebral circunscrita. En consecuencia, la fMRI\u00a0 en tiempo real (fMRI) proporcion\u00f3 una nueva oportunidad para estudiar las modificaciones del comportamiento debidas a la manipulaci\u00f3n de la actividad cerebral. De ah\u00ed que hayan aumentado r\u00e1pidamente los informes sobre las aplicaciones de la rtfMRI para entrenar la autorregulaci\u00f3n de la actividad cerebral y las modificaciones concomitantes en condiciones conductuales y cl\u00ednicas como los trastornos neurol\u00f3gicos y psiqui\u00e1tricos [por ejemplo, la esquizofrenia, el trastorno obsesivo compulsivo (TOC), los accidentes cerebrovasculares].<\/p>\n<p>Los estudios de neuroimagen en la investigaci\u00f3n de la adicci\u00f3n han demostrado que el c\u00f3rtex cingulado anterior, el c\u00f3rtex orbitofrontal y el c\u00f3rtex insular se activan durante la presentaci\u00f3n de se\u00f1ales asociadas a las drogas. Adem\u00e1s, se ha demostrado que la actividad de las cortezas insulares derecha e izquierda est\u00e1 altamente correlacionada con los impulsos de consumo de drogas cuando los participantes est\u00e1n expuestos a se\u00f1ales que provocan el deseo. Por lo tanto, la \u00ednsula bilateral es de particular importancia en la investigaci\u00f3n de los impulsos de drogas y la adicci\u00f3n debido a su papel en la representaci\u00f3n de los estados corporales (interoceptivos).
