The Government Faculty of Universidad del Desarrollo, through its Research Center\u00a0in Social Complexity (CICS) has been granted funds for the project “Social Complexity” by the contest \u201cTercer Concurso Nacional de Anillos de Investigaci\u00f3n en Ciencias Sociales y Humanidades\u201d from the Associative Research Program of CONICYT (Third National Contest Rings of Research in Social Sciences and Humanities), achieving first place amongeleven projects that benefited from\u00a0it.<\/p>\n

The project led by Carlos Rodriguez-Sickert, \u00a0seconded by Ricardo Guzm\u00e1n and Miguel Fuentes as main researches (all teachers at the Government Faculty) and by Gabriela Repetto and Diego Cosmelli as Associated Researcher, \u00a0has the strategic partnership of the Complex Systems of Valparaiso Institute (ISCV), the Pontificia Universidad Cat\u00f3lica de Chile, and the Interdisciplinary Center for Neuroscience of Valparaiso.<\/p>\n

With this interdisciplinary project (Socio Ecological System, Behaviour Emergence, Data Mining, Complex System Dynamics) CICS will count with the needed resources for the development of applied research, academic transfer and postdoctoral training from the approach of Social Complexity, thinking about new challenges for Public Policy.<\/p>\n

Research Objective<\/strong><\/p>\n

In collaboration with international networks, it aims to create multiple interdisciplinary research projects in social complexity that will address the emergence of social structures and interaction between social systems and their environments. Through partnerships with three doctoral programs of Valparaiso University and Pontifica Universidad Cat\u00f3lica, the project also includes training students with MA and PhD degrees.
\nIn addition, it will organize a series of Summer Schools in ISCV on issues of social complexity. In order to transfer knowledge, there will be national and global seminars taken place (including Santa Fe Institute, MIT Media Lab and Toulouse Economic Department) and also series of seminars for public and private sectors.<\/p>\n

CICS se adjudica en primer lugar fondos ANILLOS CONICYT para investigaci\u00f3n<\/strong><\/p>\n

En el marco del Tercer Concurso Nacional de Anillos de Investigaci\u00f3n en Ciencias Sociales y Humanidades del Programa de Investigaci\u00f3n Asociativa (PIA) de CONICYT, la Facultad de Gobierno de la Universidad del Desarrollo por medio de su Centro de Investigaci\u00f3n en Complejidad Social (CICS) adjudic\u00f3 fondos para el proyecto \u201cComplejidad Social\u201d, logrando el primer lugar entre los 11 proyectos beneficiados.<\/p>\n

El proyecto dirigido por Carlos Rodr\u00edguez-Sickert, secundado como Main Researchers por Ricardo Guzm\u00e1n y Miguel Fuentes (todos docentes de la Facultad de Gobierno) \u00a0y como Asscociated Researcher por Gabriela Repetto y Diego Cosmelli,\u00a0cuenta con la asociaci\u00f3n estrat\u00e9gica del Instituto de Sistemas Complejos de Valpara\u00edso (ISCV), la Pontificia Universidad Cat\u00f3lica de Chile, y el Centro Interdisciplinario de Neurociencia de Valpara\u00edso.<\/p>\n

Con este proyecto interdisciplinario (Socio Ecological System, Emergence Behavior, Data Mining, Complex System Dynamics) CICS contar\u00e1 con los recursos necesarios hasta el a\u00f1o 2015 para el desarrollo de investigaci\u00f3n aplicada, transferencia acad\u00e9mica y formaci\u00f3n posdoctoral, desde el enfoque de la Complejidad Social, pensando en los nuevos desaf\u00edos de Pol\u00edticas P\u00fablicas.<\/p>\n

Objetivo de Investigaci\u00f3n<\/strong><\/p>\n

En colaboraci\u00f3n con las redes internacionales, se anhela crear m\u00faltiples proyectos interdisciplinarios de investigaci\u00f3n en complejidad social que abordar\u00e1n la emergencia de las estructuras sociales y la interacci\u00f3n entre sistemas sociales y sus ambientes. Mediante alianzas con tres programas de doctorado de la Universidad de Valpara\u00edso y la Pontificia Universidad Cat\u00f3lica, el proyecto tambi\u00e9n contempla la formaci\u00f3n de estudiantes con grados de Mag\u00edster y Doctorado.
\nEn adici\u00f3n, se organizar\u00e1n una serie de Escuelas de Verano en ISCV en temas de complejidad social. Con el objetivo de transferir el conocimiento, se llevar\u00e1n a cabo seminarios nacionales y globales (que incluyen Santa Fe Institute, MIT Media Lab and Tolouse Economic Departament) como tambi\u00e9n se realizar\u00e1n una serie de seminarios dirigidos al sector p\u00fablico y privado.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
